Nick Pears

Kamloops,British Columbia

Summary

I have worked in a high pace environment with safety being of top priority. 18 years at cpkc and I left with a clean record not having any incidents or injuries. Working with the railway I took great pride in learning the equipment and not only how it worked, but why it functioned in such a way. This gave me a stronger understanding of how to repair an issue and what lead to the defect so that I could take the necessary actions to prevent it from happening again. I've since taken this attitude home and used it in all life's challenges.

Currently I'm driving truck. Delivering and collecting large product. Safety for those around me is paramount. No job is so important it can't be done safely. Being new to this I've had many questions, but my ability to step back and ask questions has helped me stay safe and get the job done in a timely manner. I don't know it all and am excited to build my knowledge and share my experience with colleagues, friends and family.
