• Read and interpret blueprints and frame specifications to determine type and

thickness of glass, frame components, fasteners, gaskets, installation procedure

and other materials required

• Assembles glass in frame with heel bead and clean

• Assemble metal frames using mechanical fasteners and silicone; fabricating and

modifying parts on an as-needed basis

• Position glass panes, and other architectural metals or related substitute

products infills into frames

• Secure infills into curtain wall frames using structural silicone, mechanical

fasteners, caps and pressure plates for commercial and residential buildings

• Install opaque and transparent glass panels in frames to form exterior walls of

buildings

• Weld pins to galvanized back-pans; measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening

insulation into place to meet specified curtain wall thermal performance

• Use silicone to apply weather-seal protection to exterior of wall; remove excess

silicone from drainage holes and ensuring proper drainage

• Cleaning glass and frames, preparing unitized curtain wall frames for shipping to

site and installation

• Always follow safe working procedures

• Represent State as required, in business with customers, suppliers, visitors and
