Nathaniel Stone

Summary

Nathaniel Stone is currently Coordinator of Algonquin College’s Marketing Research and Analysis program. He teaches three marketing research courses in the School of Business and Hospitality and two research courses in the School of Media and Design. Previously, he was Manager Public Opinion Research Knowledge and Practices at the Public Opinion Research Directorate (PORD) of the Government of Canada for 14 years. PORD is the body responsible for overseeing public opinion research across the Government of Canada and developing and maintaining instruments for contracting research. Mr. Stone was responsible for developing best practices and standards, the annual report, maintaining an electronic data base, assembling a community of practice and disseminating the above resources throughout the Government of Canada. Mr. Stone supervised four employees. Previously, he conducted public opinion research in the private sector and for two federal departments. He is a Certified Analytics and Insights Professional and serves on the academic advisory committee of the same. He is a fellow of the Canadian Research Insights Council. Mr. Stone has an International MBA from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.
