My job with Simmons Broadcasting will also include tasks normally performed by programmers or those who work in programming; but because of my past experience with other companies, you will see programming tasks listed.

• Manage a small team.
• Sell advertising on our radio stations within the Simmons network in Canada and the US.
• Sell advertising on our digital billboard network.
• Maintain current client relationships while forming new ones.
• Develop new promotions and sellable content/programs.
• Prepare proposals and meet with prospective clients.
• Copywriting for radio.
• Voice over commercials or hire freelancers to complete the task.
• Produce clients commercials.
• Prepare and voice track a daily show.

Simmons Broadcasting operates 6 radio stations and 2 newspapers in the Northeastern North Dakota and Southern Manitoba Region.

I started with MBS Radio in August of 2008 as Morning Show Host of K 94.5. After a brief 2 years away from MBS starting in 2012, I returned in 2014 as a freelancer providing voice tracking services on various stations in their network. Currently I provide a show that airs in syndication in Moncton, Saint John, and Halifax.

As a morning show host I:

• Prepared for and hosted a daily morning show
• Participated in community events as a brand ambassador for the station, fostering positive connections with local businesses and organizations.
• Contributed content to our stations social media platforms.
• Spearheaded promotional campaigns for special programming or station-sponsored events.
• Attended local events to increase fan base and provide publicity for show.

As a freelance host I:

• Prepare and voice a daily show remotely from my home studio.

As the morning show host on Coast 101.1 FM I:

• Prepared for and hosted a daily morning show

This was my first job working in Broadcasting.

I began as a producer and evening host. I continued as a producer for the first 2 years of my employment. In 2002 I made the move to host a live morning show. I continued as a producer in limited capacity when I moved to mornings.

My tasks were similar in nature to the other jobs listed in my resume with the addition of producing commercials and station imaging.
