At EXFO, I was part of the R&D team working on advanced optical testing tools, combining software development with close collaboration across hardware and systems teams. I helped build features that allowed clients to test and interact with photonic devices more effectively especially in the fast-evolving PIC (photonic integrated circuits) space.

• Designed and implemented software components using C# and Python, with a strong focus on automation, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Built and improved drivers for test instruments, often dealing with complex hardware-software integration challenges.
• Worked across both Windows and Linux environments to support a wide range of testing and automation needs.
• Created proof-of-concepts for new ideas and helped bring several of them into production after validation.
• Helped improve data visualization and usability by analyzing test data and turning it into clearer, more accessible features for clients.
• Participated in technical discussions, QA efforts, and sprint planning sessions always aiming to build solutions that were both reliable and easy to use.

IoT Logistics & BLE Tracking – Sports Teams Project Telecom Park Automation, Billing & BI Modernization

Worked within ALE’s Global Project Management Office (GPMO), contributing to major software projects while closely supporting a senior project manager. My role combined hands-on development with exposure to project coordination, strategic planning, and client-facing solution design.

1. IoT Logistics System for Sports Teams

I worked on a smart logistics system designed to help professional sports teams track their equipment in real time even while the gear was in motion on buses.

• Built a bot using Node-RED and Dialogflow that could answer live questions about equipment location and status.
• Helped design a BLE-based system that prevented signal overlap between nearby buses by fine-tuning detection zones, ensuring tracking stayed accurate.
• Used Azure to manage BLE tags and store tracking data in a centralized, scalable setup.
• This project wasn’t just functional it also became a great way for ALE to show potential clients how flexible and powerful its devices (like routers and access points) could be in different environments.

2. Telecom Park Automation, Billing & BI Modernization

Later, I focused on improving how ALE managed and billed over 1,000 telecom parks across Europe moving away from manual processes toward smarter, automated systems.

• Maintained older tools built in VBA, while gradually transitioning key parts to more modern tech like Python and JavaScript.
• Created APIs and automation scripts to pull live data from telecom devices, store it in a DataLake, and simplify the entire invoicing process into a one-click solution.
• Restructured the database and optimized SQL queries so teams could access the data faster and more reliably.
• Built dashboards in Power BI and Dataiku to help teams and clients clearly see usage, downtime, and performance across their telecom parks.
• Worked closely with developers, project managers, and business teams in a SCRUM environment to make sure we were building tools that actually solved the right problems.

• Participated in developing an interview process management application, enhancing recruitment workflows.
• Optimized database solutions and implemented them using PostgreSQL, which streamlined information retrieval.
• Enhanced application backend with Java Spring Boot and frontend with Angular, collaborating closely with team members to achieve project goals.
• Integrated Java Hibernate, fostering more efficient data handling systems.
