A seasoned Ontario Human Rights Officer and Chief Operating Officer, experienced in crisis management and compassionate leadership. At the Ontario Human Rights Commission and Greater Sudbury Developmental Services, I spearheaded initiatives that significantly improved community services and stakeholder satisfaction. Dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and resolving conflicts has been a cornerstone of my career.

Revitalized and modernized a major social service agency that serves and provides supports and care for individuals with developmental disabilities through a high standard of service delivery.

Set and actioned strategic plans every 3 years accompanied by satisfaction surveys from stakeholders.

Set policies and procedures for all aspects of service delivery for Day Centers, Residential, Respite Services and Supported community living.

Provided a critical role in addressing community waiting list, addressed homelessness for those needing direct care and providing relief for stressed family situations by opening full care homes for complex care needs, addressed discriminatory attitudes for the handicapped by providing venues for community participation and created meaningful employment.

I am also experienced in human resources management and labour management for 230 unionized direct support workers and 20 in management and administration services.

It was not an employment for me, it was great pleasure to be able to make genuine and demonstrable difference in peoples lives. I retired in July 2021.

Canadian Mental Health Association Sudbury Branch

Established the public education department to educate the community on mental health mandate.


Created a Community TV 7 series on coping skills on mental health challenges and via Northern Life newspaper print media and giving presentations to schools upon their request.


Mental Health was not a popular issue or matter at that timeframe. In fact, mental health was not a topic of discussion at that time.
