Summary

My proper name is Michelle Wisdom; however, I correctly identify as Max, a non-binary person with lived experience in mental health, active addiction, specific trauma, and homelessness and Have faced discrimination my entire life. As a familiar person who is on the spectrum, I deal with many potential roadblocks in ordinary life and am in a place now where I would genuinely like to seize what I've acquired and experienced and be able to aid people typically struggling with different challenges and adversity. I recognize local people that use community organizations as being able to see the world from their point of comprehensive view. I remain an empathetic and patient person and Have so much boundless compassion for innocent people who Have typically experienced being able to support willing people. I have proactively worked as a social peer with the successful SAFE SPOT program at the Bond Hotel, where I Have efficiently been a key part of the local team and undoubtedly know this realistically is the chosen field of social work, I dearly want to make a career out of. Love to learn and life-changing rare opportunity to be a part of the team that completed the iPHARE and Naloxone CPR Oxygen CPR training. Have previous work experience in outstanding customer service and worked with Rogers as a team lead. Prior to that, attended George Brown College for the academic Community Worker program which I satisfactorily completed. At that time did a co-op placement with Warden Woods Community Center as an outreach worker, and after placement, was hired as a member of their outreach team. I also worked with SAPACCY program which is the Substance Abuse Program for African Canadian and Caribbean Youth which works from cultural competence lens' to assist black youth and their families deal with substance abuse and mental health issues by thoughtfully providing appropriate counselling as well as an extensive range of local services to properly connect them to valuable resources to aid them carefully navigate the challenging issues
