Summary

I operate as an artist and model based out of Southern California, with an emphasis on respecting & caring for the land in my work practice. Consistent collaboration with nature is essential for me to generate a work ethic that invites others into the systems of connection that I have understood from the Earth. Mutual aid practice and community oriented organizing work have also deepened my understanding of collaboration with one another; access and an invitation to learn is something I strive for when I create with others.

Work History

Artist

  • Knowledge on how to prepare surfaces for paint application and stretch canvas.
  • Experience with a wide breadth of mediums, specializing in oil and acrylic paint, ceramics, photography, and designing generative soundscapes with nature.
  • I've been able to collaborate with clients to help them translate their imagination through my art practice. It has been wonderful to deliver dreams to people through my practice.
  • I'm deeply inspired by the frequencies of Earth and use materials and lessons from nature to bring forward the beauty I witness to build a collective experience. This includes following the rhythms of the Earth to keep on track with seasonal events (CA wildflower superblooms, grunion runs, bioluminescent red algae tides, etc.) and documenting them carefully to bring them to an audience. My documentation process also extends further than just the visual sphere; I use sound as a medium to bring forward natural intelligence as well. This looks like using a modular synthesizer to transmit the bioelectrical frequencies from organic matter like plants and field collected recordings from the outdoors.
  • I have experience creating artwork in a group setting and collaborating with others to create murals and banners for a variety of social justice fundraisers. Some of which include the 2025 Book Drive for LA County Jails and numerous fundraisers for Gaza Mutual Aid.

  • I developed personalized lesson plans to cater to individual student needs. This can look like finding what works for a child whose communication skills operate differently due to autism, and showing the importance of patience and slow movement to boisterous kids through observing the present moment in nature.
  • I raised monarch butterflies during the 2024 Winter months to showcase the development of the life cycle to my students and inspire their painting work.
  • The medium I was asked to instruct by most students families was oil paint, though I was guiding them through each step of the painting journey with supplemental sketching and drawing exercises.
  • The children I taught ranged from ages 5-12 years old.
  • I was extremely punctual when I arrived for a painting lesson, and respected the family home space that I was invited in as a teacher.
  • Maintained a clean, organized workspace conducive to creativity while adhering to necessary safety standards for an artistic setting.
  • Advised parents on appropriate resources for furthering their child's art education beyond private lessons, such as local exhibitions or seasonal rhythms to look in nature. For example, every full moon and new moon during the months of March through August I recommended parents and their children to observe the Grunion run that occurs on our local beaches to serve as an interactive family outing. Students were thus able to return to private sessions with beautiful inspiration for painting, an invigorated and awestruck attitude towards the natural world, and hopefully more closeness to their family members after such an experience.

  • Collaborated with a wide array of photographers, stylists, designers, and makeup artists to create visually striking and compelling fashion campaigns.
  • I keep a calm attitude while interacting with other crew members during shoots to provide comfort and maintain a safe space. I also know how to use my voice to make sure others are invited into this feeling of safety.
  • I always make sure I am ethical with the jobs that I take. This means that I do not support a brand or position that my image will be used for if they have incited harm, violence, or generate negativity to others. For example; I have declined modeling for large tech jobs that
  • I am very focused while on set and do not allow negativity to enter my space. Understanding security in collective emotional wellbeing is extremely important to ensure a happy & peaceful environment with crew members. This creates a good time for us all while we work together.
  • Established and maintained relationships with other creatives that have inspired me that I have translated into my own personal artistic practice.

Skills

  • Gained knowledge about setting up a studio space to execute a precise vision through having frequent conversations with set designers on set
  • Making sure I am in a healthy space (both mind & body) before coming into work to let my friendly demeanor and positive attitude be felt by all of us working on set
  • I have a gentle approach to collaborating alongside nature Knowing that we are apart of the other living organisms we live alongside, I make sure to maintain respect when working with plants and animals
  • I am well versed in many technical painting, sculptural, and design skills yet I also let intuition guide me during artistic expression I have studied fine art practices in my spare time since I was a child and nurture my internal landscapes to come out of me in ways that are accessible for others to understand Balancing modes of expression to invite a diverse array of individuals into the truths that I understand is extremely important to my work
  • I am not afraid to speak up and encourage changes that I feel would benefit the final outcome of a day on set This includes asking questions about why certain models (those that adhere to the conventional standards of white beauty) are put in front of the camera more often than black, brown, and visibly queer models, speaking up about safety precautions (COVID-19 masking, unhygienic practices from makeup artists, etc), and remaining calm yet secure when transphobic, racist, or otherwise hostile remarks are stated
  • Through modeling I have been so lucky to get to know other artists that like to work together communally to make a vision come to life It has been so helpful for my own creative practice to witness the varying levels of design and careful precision from intricate makeup applications, curated wardrobe selections, the many moving elements of set design, and how the photo team will illuminate the set
