Work History

SALES BROKER

RATESDOTCA
01.2022 - Current
  • Working as a sales broker for an insurance brokerage saw me build and develop my communications skills as a result oriented and client focused sales broker
  • With a proven track record of meeting sales expectations through effective communication, educating potential clients and building rapport with customers
  • In my tenure i have developed relationships with clients and also assisted with inquiries and overcome obstacles effectively, whilst educating clients about various insurance coverages, products and identifying what plans meet clients needs.

Policeman

HM FORCES
01.2015 - 12.2020
  • As part of the RAF Police, i was accountable for the security of personnel and assets of the British Air Force, on home soil in the UK as much as on tasking's all over the world
  • Experienced in working in a law enforcement environment, primarily military but also alongside civilian forces.
  • Prior experience and training in the use of firearms and rules of engagement.
  • I was a member of a role that played a critical part in the enabling of airpower operations by providing a broad spectrum of security and law enforcement capabilities
  • Whilst part of the high-readiness Tactical Police Squadron, my role as a security specialist was to be an enthusiastic member of a team that would deploy on various security tasks around the world
  • Often working in high-pressure environments, I worked with people to protect high value assets as well as handling the security of personnel whilst away from regular units
  • Usually in teams of 2-6, I quickly found myself leading these teams and becoming involved in the organisation and planning required for these teams to deploy
  • This meant planning, briefing and liaising with high-ranking officers and foreign officials, training and presenting to large groups, decision making and problem solving under pressure, pre- and post-task reporting, analyzing and promptly acting when situations would arise, reporting through a chain of command, and overseeing tasks from start to finish
  • My keen work-ethic and understanding of the role led to a promotion after 3 years
  • In that time I had taken on an acting role which saw me take part in the organising and running of an office of 24 junior servicemen on a daily basis.

Team Manager

W.M. MORRISONS
01.2009 - 01.2015
  • I began my tenure at Morrison's as a part-time stock worker on the produce department, however, I quickly displayed my keen work-ethic and customer service skills leading to a full-time contract on a more interactive department with the customers
  • Here I developed my leadership skills along with my communication and organisational skills, leading to me becoming the manager of the department
  • This involved me reporting directly to the store manger, delegating and planning on a daily basis, reducing waste whilst increasing output by training and utilising my staff's skills in a more efficient and pro-active way
  • In turn this led to my transfer to a larger department with a higher-paced customer footfall requiring me to further build upon my skills
  • I developed my stock-taking, ordering, managing and leadership skills further here before I left the company to utilise these skills in the Air Force.
