Matthew Di Biasio

At this position, my responsibilities included receiving customer orders and fulfilling them by operating machinery, such as electric pallet jacks. I worked in multiple different positions within this company, all of which included fulfilling orders for customers. I worked in the dairy department, which included building skids of milk and other cooled products. The position I spent most of my time at was full-case, which included building and wrapping skids for gas station clients. These skids included everything from oil and windshield wiper fluid to water and candies. At my time here, I also learned how to load trucks and go for delivery runs with the drivers. This job demanded long hours, heavy lifting, and teamwork for the day's goals to be met. I should add, I worked this job 32-40 hours a week while I was also completing my post-secondary education.

At this position, I was moving people's/companies' belongings by hand and loading them into moving trucks, then unloading them at the new location. This job involved a lot of heavy lifting, teamwork, and coordination, so no one would get burnt out or too tired to continue. This position also had us working overnight jobs, where the customer was moving far, and we had to stay at hotels. This position also included working long hours, or until the job was finished, while constantly lifting heavy items. Being friendly and good with the customers was mandatory for this position.

This was my high school job. It included opening and closing the dairy and grocery departments, stocking shelves, and helping customers. This job taught work responsibility and accountability, showing up on time, and dealing with customers. I had to order products for the store and occasionally receive products and unload them to different departments.
