Floor 1- Orthopedic/ Spinal Surgery

• Provided complete care for patients including completing shift, ordered assessments and PRN assessments, medication administration, catheterization and wound care while reporting any changes to my preceptor.
• provided critical care for patients with change in cognition or status such as delirium evaluations, reorientation, and safety precautions.
• Participated in team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan for care and worked in close collaboration with the patients care team.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice by adhering to professional standards of confidentiality, informed consent, and safe medication administration.

Floor 8- General Surgery

• Provided comprehensive health assessments, identified potential issues and communicated findings to supervising nurse/preceptor.
• Collaborated with the clinical team on developing individualized care plans based on patients' specific needs.
• Educated patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and self-care techniques for improved health outcomes.
• Gained hands-on experience performing various nursing procedures such as IV insertion, specimen collection, medication administration and catheterization.
• Gained wound care experience alongside wound care nurses when caring for surgical as well as pressure related wounds

Floor 3 - Long Term Care

• Provided total care for residents including bed bath, daily ADLs, feeding, wound dressings, addressing pain needs with complete documentation
