I am an open-minded and compassionate individual dedicated to contributing to society through service and collaboration. With two years of volunteer experience working with intellectually challenged adults and children with autism, I have honed my empathy and communication skills. Currently, I am pursuing an Addictions and Mental Health Worker program at Humber College, gaining specialized knowledge to support those facing mental health and addiction challenges. My education and experience equip me to provide compassionate care and advocacy. I thrive in collaborative environments and am committed to creating inclusive and supportive communities.
As part of my role, I create and facilitate group programming such as Meditation , walking sessions, baking activities, and other self-directed initiatives to support clients' well-being. I assist clients with their individual goals, providing personalized support as needed. I also absorb relevant trainings under Super visor's guidance, including conducting OCAN assessments. Additionally, I participate in staff and residents' meetings, in-person assessments, the student community of practice, and Ten-op meetings whenever the opportunity arises. My responsibilities extend to completing administrative tasks and maintaining daily documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective service delivery.
