- Volunteer in Emergency Department, assisting in tasks such as running fluid samples/COVID tests to chemistry/microbiology labs, meal distribution, ambulatory assistance, patient communication

-Completed project that expanded upon research on double-stranded DNA break-induced inverted repeats in yeast genomes (Al-Zain et. al, 2023)

- Shadowed in minimally invasive general surgery
- Learning surgical techniques, operating room dynamics, day-to-day lifestyle of a surgeon, as well as how to operate the DaVinci XI
- Gained understanding of common general surgery procedures such as robotic-assisted cholecystectomies, inguinal and ventral hernia repairs, laparoscopic appendectomies, cyst removals

- Created + Lead project that provided key findings and data for overall product lab was working to build
- Gained experience designing experiments, building experimental setups
- Acquired key understanding of lab safety techniques, including handling of highly radioactive substances
- Gained deeper understanding of gamma ray spectroscopy and the field of radiation oncology overall

- Tracked Hospital records and recorded item quantities
- Conversed with hospital patients, offering them items to brighten their time in the hospital
- Tended to patients' needs, helping them to call doctors and nurses if need be
