My background encompasses diverse roles that have honed my skills in management, customer service, and operational efficiency. I began my career as a Line Cook at Popeyes, where I developed a strong foundation in food preparation, kitchen operations, and team collaboration. From there, I transitioned to a role as a Forklift Operator, where I gained valuable experience in logistics and inventory management, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods. Following that, I took on a supervisory position with the Region of Waterloo, where I was responsible for overseeing operations, coordinating teams, and implementing process improvements. This role strengthened my leadership abilities and project management skills. Additionally, I worked within the Somali community, where I engaged in community-focused initiatives and provided support tailored to the specific needs of the community. These experiences have collectively equipped me with a versatile skill set, including operational oversight, effective team management, and a deep understanding of diverse work environments.
I have a strong interest in programming, which allows me to engage in problem-solving and creative thinking through coding. This passion drives me to stay current with technological advancements and continuously improve my technical skills. In addition to my programming interests, I enjoy playing basketball as a recreational activity.
