- Started playing early on in childhood at the age of 6, was trained at Mandarin Badminton until age 13.
- Competed in Canada as a child in the BWF until age 13. Achieved U12 Singles Finalist in the 2011 B&R Classic Tournament.
- Played competitively throughout high school, played within the TDCAA and attained 2 Silver medals, 4 Bronze medals, and 2 Gold Medals.
- Played for the Seneca varsity team and chosen to represent Seneca at the OCAA Regionals for Men's Singles (Placed 4th out of 8).
