• Execute CAMH's daily security operations by applying best practices in dispute resolution, risk management, and physical safety while maintaining strict adherence to hospital rules and regulations
• Monitor the arrival and departure of workers, visitors, and patients to guarantee a smooth daily schedule while carefully reviewing whether or not the actions within the institution’s grounds are approved
• Handle mindful communication and intervention for people with mental health concerns by following protocol-based procedures including frequent body searches and reacting to nursing staff-ordered restrictions
• Avoid disclosing data without special authorization to protect the privacy of each patient’s information
• Ensure interior and perimeter security through surveillance and documentation
• Conduct security checks of the unit perimeter and safety/security equipment
