I am a highly motivated and progress-focused individual looking to expand my mechanical and electrical knowledge. After completing secondary school, I pursued a career in the electrical trade, undertaking a Certificate III in Electrotechnology while gaining experience in commercial construction for over four years. During this time, I became a fully qualified unrestricted electrician in South Australia. Throughout my career, I've developed a strong skill set and deep knowledge of the trade, contributing to numerous multi-million-dollar projects and having hands-on experience in lift operations. I'm excited to take the next step in my career and integrate my passion for the mountains into my professional life.
In my previous role as a lift operator at Whistler Blackcomb, I gained experience with a variety of lifts across the resort. Throughout the season, I primarily worked on the Whistler Village Gondola, where my responsibilities included performing daily routine maintenance, maintaining operation logs, and assisting guests with loading their equipment. I collaborated closely with ski patrol, lift maintenance, and the alpine office to ensure the mountain was safe and ready for operation each morning and properly shut down each afternoon. Additionally, I had the opportunity to open, operate and close several alpine chairlifts, as well as manage the beginner magic carpet lifts.

Have you worked in a role which requires fault finding experience?
Often times in construction circuits or wiring systems were damaged or wired incorrectly and not operating as intended. I was required to find the source of the problem and resolve the issues. I would use specific trade practices, one example is isolating the fault by removing loads and inspecting the circuit at every junction. Upon verification of compliance with Australian standards, all circuits are tested for continuity of earthing systems, insulation resistance, polarity, correct circuit connections, impedance loop and operation of residual current safety devices which can all result in wiring system faults.
