Kirith Sekhon

I have a strong drive for tackling hard work and love finding solutions to challenges and tasks that i encounter in any work environment. I am a capable dedicated worker, i enjoy a teamwork oriented setting as well as pursuing tasks individually as well. I am looking for a job with hands on engagement, working alongside the land, being in a nature oriented space and bettering our community one day at a time. Furthermore i am excellent at picking up tasks and assignments when trained to do so, adapting and performing them in the most time efficient and safe manner for me and my co-workers, maximizing the time we have to complete as much as possible in a day. I quite enjoy working with my body and am used to getting my hands dirty with physical labour, however i equally enjoy mental stimuli and analytical problem solving duties when tackling work duties in any way that i am capable of within company guidelines.

i have volunteered at many places around the community. Firstly, i have joined the hospital during vaccine clinics for flu and covid shots. i direct and engage with community members that come through, ensuring the safety and organization for all members hosting such as nurses and other volunteers as well as merritonians who come to get their vaccines updated. Secondly, i currently volunteer at the Coldwater ranch stables, performing many duties such as cleaning and organizing equipment, working alongside the owners to run riding camps for children that come to ride, scooping out the stables and brushing off the horses and tacking up and feeding and filling water troughs for the animals. Lastly, i have organized and run a sports camp for elementary students in our community, giving a taste of 6 different sports we offer in high school and finding all the volunteers and sponsors for our camp. I organized a lunch for all the students for the day and had companies donate funds for water and snacks throughout the day as well.
