  • Collaborating as a Patient Partner in a CIHR-funded project which aims to identify research priorities and develop a research agenda to improve the health and well-being of pregnant South Asian immigrants (PSAI) in Canada.

  • Work includes collaborating with Sponsors for the project and training the PaCER Cohort for conducting the research project execution.
  • This involves teaching the basics of the Basis of clinical research, Research methodologies, with emphasis on Qualitative research, patient-oriented and patient-led research.
  • Tasks include teaching the framing of a research topic, designing and conceptualizing a research project, designing research documents and REB submissions, designing questionnaires, surveys and recruitment strategies and posters, conducting focus groups and interviews, narrative analysis, theming and coding of the data, and executing the results of research studies for future implementation.
  • Projects I have worked on as Team Support include:
  • Raising Up Rare: A project involving the experiences of people having children with rare disease, the support and the needs. (2025).
  • Understanding the experiences and perspectives of family caregivers of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) survivors discharged home to identify supports needed to enhance their engagement in health research – this is being done in collaboration with McGill University, Canada. (2025)
  • Understanding healthcare navigation in Alberta: What is important to healthcare navigators and to people who have been navigated in the Alberta healthcare system. (2024). (collaboration with AbSPORU and AIMGA).
