Beginning as the Coordinator, Safe Sport and now as the Manager of Safe Sport at Swimming Canada, I am responsible for the development and implementation of the Swimming Canada Safe Sport Framework. This includes:

  • The creation of policies and resources that promote a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Working closely with provincial partners, coaches, and other stakeholders to ensure all those who participate in the sport, no matter the level or position, have access to safe and inclusive training and competitive environments free of abuse, harassment, and discrimination
  • Actively facilitating the ongoing development and execution of 10+ Safe Sport programs, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and using best practices to close gaps within the system.
  • Thinking creatively and developing strong relationships with our partners to achieve our collective goals.
