Dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with progressive career history in direct patient care, triage and care coordination in fast-paced environment. Proven to remain calm under pressure and skillfully handle difficult patients and high-stress situations. Consistently developing strong relationships with patients and families through empathetic communication, respectful attitude and excellent customer service.
I was hired and assigned an emergency room position.
I started in the ICU, where I learned about ECMO and became more proficient in CRRT. I then went to the ER, where I learned Triage. I then went on to the cardiac inpatient unit where I honed my assessment and prioritization skills.
This is where I started to become a critical care nurse. Here I learned to manage complex patient needs and complex medical interventions including mechanical ventilation, inotropic management and preventing nosocomial infections. I became proficient in caring for families and patients in their most stressful time of life.
For this position I wrote the NCLEX exam to be licensed first in Minnesota and then Texas. I worked at 2 locations, both for 3 months each. One in the emergency room and the next in an ICU. I learned much about the differences between the American health care system compared to our own.
