I have worked at Bell/ Northern Tel since I graduated from high school. The skills that come with this type of career are. You have to be able to work with others on damages or large projects, But also be able to work by yourself on troubles and general maintenance. You have to be able to take a leadership role in call outs organizing the locates, calling out contractors and being the face of the company with the police and bystanders. Then sometimes you have to take a back seat when a more senior co-worker is with you, who knows more about a specific type of job or application. I also know the geography and roads of the North East Region, i have driven all the highways and back roads from Latchford to Timmins and every where in-between.
