  • In my 16-year experience with the Probation Department I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to have been tasked with various assignments throughout the facility that have helped me grow personally and professionally.
  • As a DSO I was assigned to units as a board counselor and or to supervise L3 1:1 youths.
  • I assisted the Medical Appointment Transport Team (MATT) to securely transport youth to and back from the hospital medical appointments.
  • The most recent assignment I held as DSO was as the DOJ-Orientation and MAYSI Officer.
  • The duties of the Orientation/MAYSI officer included completing a monthly DOJ report, completing orientation with all new detained youth within 48 hours and responsible that all new detain youth complete the MAYSI assessment with The Department of Mental Health within 72 hours.
  • I was also recruited to aid the Movement Coordinator Office at Central Juvenile Hall which is tasked with coordinating all movements of youth within the department.
  • Example of daily movements are from camp to court, to the hospital or from Central Juvenile Hall to Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall.
  • As a Sr. DSO my first assignment was at the HOPE Center at Central Juvenile Hall.
  • The HOPE Center is a highly demanding assignment requiring the skills to multitask from supporting staff and supervising youth.
  • The Hope Center requires extensive daily documentation including Title 15 documentation, SSP documentation, Room confinement and Daily Hope Center reports.
  • I was temporarily reassigned to BJNJH during the closure CJH.
  • Upon return to CJH I was reassigned to unit W (boy’s receiving).
  • From unit W my unit was moved to unit KL.
  • Currently assigned to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall Unit R.
