Gardening, Birdwatching, People-ing,

To be honest, I'm not sure why I put Bird watching as a hobby.  I do appreciate the sound of Whooping Cranes as they migrate each season.  Thousands seem to circle over our backyard each year. I always stare up in wonder as they spiral around then leave.   I giggle while watching Robins run,  love listening to Finches and Chickadees sing and plant flowers each Spring to attract Humming Birds.  I have never been able to properly focus a pair of binoculars but I do have quite a few bird books.  I would say I am a birder not a ornithologist.

Gardening is what I do each day, everyday and I have been gardening my whole life.  Flowers remind me of my grandparents, soil brings to mind my farming family and working at a Greenhouse roots me in a community that appreciates trees, plants, flowers, food, art and design.

People-ing  just popped into my head.  People make me smile.  I enjoy listening, serving, observing and learning from all kinds of people.  My instagram account is dedicated to sharing Gardening Stories.  The Leafy Lady Yeg serves as a collection of photographs, interviews and stories about local Gardeners, Farmers, Enthusiasts and Small Businesses in our Community.  My goal is to keep discovering locations, destinations and people.  I will continue improving my skills at sharing content and help showcase what makes out community positive and vibrant.
