  • The denitrification process and mechanism of molecular ecology on sulfur autotrophic denitrification in black-odor river sediment (#41401586), National Nature Science Foundation of China, 01/01/15, 12/31/17, Principal Investigator, Project profile: This project addressed scientific questions regarding in-situ remediation of polluted river sediments. It investigated the quantitative contributions of autotrophic denitrification and anammox through isotope tracer techniques and nitrogen balance analysis, while also examining the accumulation mechanism of the by-product N2O using variations in environmental factors and macro-genome technology.


  • Project title “Development of a decentralized eco-filter-based process for treatment of the greywater generated from a single farmhouse (#A14-302-a09)”, from the Science and Technology Bureau of Yichang City, , 2013-2015. Principal Investigator. Project profile: A gravity flow process utilizing Eco-Filter and Fe-C micro-electrolysis was developed for local environmental conditions. Over two years of continuous operation, the plant efficiently treated grey water from a typical farm, exhibiting low cost, easy maintenance, and non-clogging performance.
