  • Work in classrooms with teachers, EA's and students to develop and implement targeted and specialized programs such as tier 3 reading and mathematics intervention, adapted and/or modified programming.
  • In conjunction with the teacher, observe and progress monitor targeted and specialized programs. Support the teacher with next steps in the programming.
  • Provide or support tier 3 reading and mathematics intervention
  • Collect/create resources to support implementation of recommendations by service providers
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents on the creation and implementation of IPP, BSP, MSP. Teachers are responsible for creating and implementing these documents with support from the I coach. These plans shall be reviewed at least 3 times per year.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure that behaviour documentation using the ABC method of reporting is completed for students who have a designated behaviour code. Collaborate with teachers to review data to ensure that appropriate behaviour strategies and supports are in place.
  • If there are no incidents in log entries, document in the profile that there are “no incidents”
  • Support teachers in tracking accommodations being used by students through the year
  • Participate in Collaborative Response meetings
  • Follow and implement PRSD tier support models and referral forms
  • Once a level B assessment or an educational psychology assessment has been completed, Collaborate with the teacher to review a plan to implements recommendation and a plan for progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with Divisional Intervention Coordinators and service providers to support teachers and students with specific programming recommendations, which may include assistive technology
  • Update and review school profile on a monthly basis
  • Ensure IPP, BSP, MSP and any reports from service providers are included in CUM file
  • Complete accommodations tab in the profile
  • Complete CUM file review for new students
  • Provide learning supports with documentation for coding requests
  • Be aware of and follow PRSD Administration procedures and Alberta Education Documentation
  • Organize and upload parental consents for professional services
  • Attend classroom visits with service providers
  • Print and review report recommendations with teachers and support staff. Ensure that a copy of the report is shared with parents.
