Jeffrey Gailey’s career in investigative services began in 1995, when he joined Gailey Associates, Inc., as an investigator trainee. Since that time, he has worked in and then supervised nearly every practice area in the company. Gailey first worked in the research department, learning investigative skills in process serving, court research and research analysis tasks. He then became a senior research analyst, creating and putting into place state of the art research and skip tracing techniques and resources which are still employed today. Gailey then successfully passed the State of California test for Private Investigators and gained his Private Investigator License, followed by several years working as an investigator in various areas of the company, including surveillance, difficult service of process and witness interviews. Gailey was promoted to Senior Investigator in the Operations Division of the firm and was named to head the Governmental defense practice area. In 2007 Gailey was made a Vice President and shareholder and in 2020 took over as president of the firm. He currently heads the City of Los Angeles Civil Liability contract on behalf of the firm along with managing other municipal and insurance defense clients. He remains responsible for the training and supervision of multiple investigators and continues to work in the field handling complex investigations. Gailey has also developed and implemented investigative techniques specific to social media, enabling the firm to grow in this burgeoning field. Utilizing existing database information combined with open source intelligence and social media data allows Gailey Associates to surpass all other firms in developing information.
