I grew up working on my own cars and some of my friends cars. Ive done simple things like oil changes to more complicated things like engine replacements all on my own starting at the age of 15 on my neighbors' old restoration vehicles.
Starting at the age of 12, I worked at my uncles contracting business on residential homes. I would help do demolition, paint, install flooring(ceramic tile, laminated wood, carpet), remodel bathrooms, landscaping the yards. I did this work with my Dad and his brother(my Uncle).
When I was 17, while attending High School I got a job as a dishwasher for Bluewater Seafood Market and Grill. (Theres 2 locations). I've been working there for over 10 years now going as far as being responsible for the original recipe book as new workers come and go.
Now, I work at GKN Aerospace. I was hired to be a Technician III but was pushed down due to my lack of experience in the field. I was placed in Bench Training where I graduated with a Technician II position. While training, I was also working on parts under supervision. My teacher was younger than me but he taught me a lot and the building I worked in had a lot of work specialization flexibility. I spent a lot of time working in Final Bench, Rough Bench, Steam Clean, Alkaline Etch, and Final Inspection. Now, I work in a different building working on a different part that gets Chem-Milled. I work on this part before the Chem-Mill process and after. I always have to provide perfect quality on all the parts. Our tolerances are lower than .003 of an inch. I started off with little knowledge in benching, now, 13 months later, I am training new guys on the operations.
While in Middle School and High School I found a niche for computers and technology. I did a lot of research on computer parts and computer performances. Starting from High School to today, I've built over 20 Custom Desktop PC's to customer specifications and budget including 3 separate builds for myself alone. I just like building computers. I understand how the parts work and operate and find it easy to put them together, fix, clean, reset, anything. I've been doing troubleshooting on technology since I was 12 years old.
