3D Room Scanner

Jan 2021 – April 2021
• Designed and built a LIDAR device using a bus speed of 96 MHz.
• Programmed the microcontroller (MSP432E401Y) with data acquisition a program using C and UART, I2C serial communication. The measurements were taken every 11.25 degrees, with a total of 320 points.
• Used Open3D and NumPy python libraries and the MeshLab Software to visualize the obtained data in 3D.

Python (Socket Programming and Tkinter GUI)

• Designed an app that uses the principles of Socket programming to allow local clients to chat with each other using the built-in sockets and threading libraries in Python.
• Custom GUI built with Python’s Tkinter library, that features many custom GUI tweaks and settings. Handles up to 64k TCP client connections simultaneously for messaging.
