Project - HSBC migration to RBC
Clients products and services at HSBC Bank Canada and its subsidiaries will be migrating to Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) or its subsidiaries by the end of March 2024.
This project entailed:
- New Website for all the new investment funds migrated from HSBC
- Client receiving new cards before migration
- Waive any transfer fees on international money transfers under $50,000 in the RBC mobile application for all HSBC non-business clients that continue as RBC clients, as well as for existing and future RBC non-business clients.
- Within 12 months, expand the foreign currency savings accounts, including the Euro, UK Pound Sterling, and Hong Kong Dollar, to all RBC clients, ensuring the access HSBC clients currently have to some key international currency savings accounts is maintained. These new offerings from RBC will be in addition to the U.S. Dollar account RBC currently offers to its clients and will offer to HSBC clients.
Project : Client 360 replacing Sales platform
The goal of this project was to replace the internal banking system that RBC uses for advisers across the board.
The project was broken up into two phases. Phase 1 was introduced in July of 2023, and advisers from various domain personnel were chosen to participate in the pilot program and offer feedback on what was successful and what needed improvement.
After Phase 1 was completed in late October, Client 360 was temporarily put on hold so that adjustments could be made based on the feedback received and the program could be relaunched later in the year.

- All the other applications like CART, CALL WRAP UP, RBIS, CASPER merged into one.
- Clients profile can be located with not only with client card but with any information on file
Project – New FHSA account for Wealth management
Announced as part of the federal government's 2022 budget, the new First Home Savings account came into effect in April 2023.
The project's main objectives were:
- FHSA being added to the department of direct investing and invest ease
- building a new FHSA webpage
- Including a link to launch a new website
- Adding FHSA option for Direct investing and Invest ease department.
Project - IMT adding client profile/No fee on IMT
The goal of this project was to simplify IMT for every client.
It involved allowing IMT clients to use the mobile app to create new recipient profiles without requiring them to log in to the web version.
Later, the service was significantly improved by removing the IMT cost and providing free IMT to all RBC clients.
Project- New ION cards
The project's objective was to replace the outdated rewards point cards with Avion points across all of the credit card types that RBC offered.
In late 2022, new ION cards were also issued along with Avion points.
- Avion points for groceries, dining out, and food delivery.
- 1 Avion point for every $1 spent
- Points can be redeemed for Redeem your Avion points to pay bills, pay down your credit card balance or even send money to friends with Interac e-Transfer Redeem your points for gift cards, merchandise, the latest Apple
Project: Interac limit increase
The improvement was the ability for customers to send more interactive e-transfers.

- New limit changed from $2500 to $10000
- Adding new limit message on the interact page
- Building a webpage with an instruction manual
- adding additional features to mobile and browser versions
Key Deliverables
- Followed AGILE methodology throughout the software development life cycle and analyzed risks that might lead to scope creep between releases.
- Led the Story Mapping sessions to capture Personas, Epics, High level User Stories (by using 3C’s criteria) in JIRA.
- Created detailed User stories (INVEST Criteria) along with Acceptance Criteria (SMART criteria) and reviewed the stories with the PO and the Scrum Team for common understanding of the requirements.
- Partnered with the PO to create, maintain and prioritize the Product Backlog and led the Product Backlog Refinement sessions to provide a walkthrough of the user stories to the core team.
- Contributed in Ceremonies such as Product Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning Sessions, Daily Stand up, Sprint Review / Demo, Sprint Retrospective.
- Facilitated and conducted daily stand-up meeting, tracked and communicated velocity and sprint/release progress with business/product stakeholders and senior management.
- • Forecast, define and manage the requirements effort including cost and timeline. Engage, enable and lead stakeholders to final agreement and signoff of the business requirements.
- Acted as a SME to answer any queries from the Core team regarding requirements.
- Documented detailed analysis of end-to-end Business Processes, Architectural diagrams, and ensured information is accurate and complete. Obtained sign-off of the documented requirements from project sponsors and Stakeholders.
- Created Data Mapping documents, and reviewed detailed API documents.
- Performed Gap Analysis by identifying existing technologies, documenting the enhancements to meet end state requirements.
- Created screen mockups and worked closely with UI/UX designers and content writers.
- Created test cases for UAT and supported DIT/SIT testing phases by reviewing variances and provided technology feedback.
