Accomplishments
Project lead on implementing use of UAVs in the steel industry.
As lead I was able to offset considerable costs in the industrial inspection and raw material surveying areas in both the Hamilton and Lake Erie plant.
After working closely with Transport Canada and companies like Pix4D and DJI, I was able to offer advantages that were previously non-existent in the industry like thermal imaging and imaging a heights not suitable for human occupancy. The project was a great success and earned a permanent position as a fundamental tool for the industry.
