  • At Digital Nova Scotia my role has been primarily lead project coordination of the Tourism Digital Assistance Program and recently my role has expanded to include the delivery of the Forestry Digital Adoption program.
  • My role with TDAP is to manage the delivery of 125 program participant projects within the larger scope of TDAP programming. I am responsible for many aspects of this including pre-launch internal development of the project management system as well as the coordination of each individual project.
  • I am the primary communication between the grant applicants, Third Party Providers and Tourism Nova Scotia; the external funders.
  • It is my role to find and match program applicants with a suitable Third Party Provider based on the digital needs and wants. I then send the necessary paperwork for both parties to sign and create a signed agreement.
  • I am responsible for ensuring that once a project has finished, the project scopes as outlined in the contract are executed by the Third Party Provider assigned to each project, that timelines are followed accordingly and ultimately the program participants are satisfied with the project outcomes.
  • I have worked to create Monday.com project boards on both projects with the goal to create more streamlined internal processes and create enhanced systems so that sharing information both internally and with external stakeholders is continually seamless.
  • I meet weekly with external stakeholders to provide project updates, overall program progress and advise of project issues that may have arisen.
  • My role with FDAP is to deliver all aspects of program requirements along with managing 14 individual participant projects.
  • Pre-launch I was responsible for creating the project management systems including creation of the working project board, creation of the application form for launch, internal documents creation, such liaising with the marketing department for logo creation, as well as relaying marketing timelines for social media posts.
  • I manage project invoicing, verifying accuracy in invoice details and tax calculations, ensuring invoices align with the project budget.
  • I am responsible for continually tracking the overall program budget, including monthly forecasting and adding all invoices received.
  • I support the project specialist with the planning and execution of Digital Days events which provide full day digital adoption coaching sessions for Tourism Businesses.
  • I assist with booking event spaces and catering set up with the venue, ensuring the room is set up as requested and that food is delivered.
  • I coordinate the set up of board automations for communications needed for event outreach, attendance confirmations and post event surveys.
  • I work in Canva to create event agendas, including making any adjustments to event timelines and order of presenters.
  • I am responsible for printing event materials and putting together folders with all materials. As well as packing all event swag and tech accessories needed for presentations.

  • In addition to running a 6 year retail operation, I worked with my business partners to develop and then expand a series of highly successful Roller Disco Events during the summer months. Our partnership successfully expanded from 3-4 local events per season to a full season schedule of 12+ events across Maritime Canada. My involvement included comprehensive event planning and managing of the event logistics/operations and coordinated the set up of both our own and partnered events.
