Accomplishments

Story Arts Centre Black History Month Panel - 951 Carlaw Ave

    Q&A Host (Feb. 20th, 2025)

  • Led a Q&A with two professors at Centennial College about their work and the challenges they’ve faced as
  • BIPOC artists. Wanda Taylor is an author and professor in the Journalism Department, and Kamar Thomas is an

author and professor in the Visual Arts Department.

  • I prepared questions a week before the event and opened the floor for the audience to ask questions in between
  • the Q&A.

Nuit Blanche - 951 Carlaw Ave

    Exhibit Coordinator (Oct. 6th, 2024)

  • With Centennial College, my program allowed me to create an exhibit for Nuit Blanche.
  • In collaboration with the Art and Design program, my peers and I created the idea, and the design students built
  • the exhibit. During the night of the event, I would show guests the exhibit—a photo booth where they could

record themselves — and explain our goal: to ask guests “what peace means to them” in the photo booth.

  • I watched over the front desk before people could enter the exhibit, greeted guests and explained what the exhibit
  • was about, handed out media release forms, and made sure the photo booth was working during and after Nuit Blanche ended.

Jamii Esplanade - 264 The Esplanade - Toronto, Ontario

    Sound Team (July 2018 - Aug 2018)

  • Worked as a sound coordinator on a documentary, “At Heart: Citizens of the Esplanade.”
  • The documentary won the Public History Award at the 2019 Toronto Heritage Awards.
  • I managed different sound equipment, such as boom mics, lavalier microphones for the people we interviewed, and dynamic microphones for background audio.
