- Trained continuously to maintain required demanding work. Laid hose lines and operated nozzles, pumps and fire extinguishers.
- Cleaned, serviced and maintained fire equipment in condition of readiness and performed general maintenance of equipment
- Do mop-up once the fire is confirmed to be extinguished and return the scene to it's original state
- Prepare the camp and ensure we keep it clean to protect the environment and wildland
- Lead the crew when the crew leader is gone to do the fire investigation and/or other tasks
- Lead all the core 1 training to get the crew member ready for the season ( setting up the pump, hose lay, recycling the equipment , helicopter protocols, how alerts work and etc
- Operate the chainsaw when there is need to be some cutting done
- During the AI make sure I stay on the nozzle for a few days , help the crew lay hose , ensure the crew is aware of any danger tree or any intense fire activity and finally ensure the crew member stay safe during the fire and all the hazards that surrounds us
