As a Service Representative at Empire Life, I worked within the Insurance Operations team performing a role called Policy Issue. Policy Issue consisted of reviewing new insurance policies and making sure that all details were correct before sending the contracts to the Contract Assembly team. This included:

• Ensuring that all premium calculations were correct and up to date
• Running illustrations to determine policy premiums
• Ensuring that all data was correct and up to date, including the names of clients; the addresses of clients; and the birthdays of clients
• Modifying any policies accordingly (for example: updating coverages when a change was requested)
• Ensuring that all issue requirements were fulfilled prior to settlement
• Communicating with advisors when further information was required
• Creating final contract documents

As a barista at Balzac's Coffee Roasters, I was focused on exceptional service and tending to customer needs in a professional fashion. Due to the cafe being located on a university campus (Toronto Metropolitan University), I was required to perform efficiently under high-volume situations. My job duties included:

• Taking orders via a POS system
• Making quality drinks according to company recipes, each following unique measurements of espresso, milk, and/or other ingredients
• Opening and closing duties (including key-holding and cash-handling)
• Stocking and organizing inventory; ordering inventory for special orders
