  • we would use heavy machinery such as front end loaders, skidsteers, forklifts to do out day to day tasks. these task consisted of digging holes so we could concrete in fence posts ready to hang the fencing. we would use the machinery to clear bush and level out areas of land where the perimeter fence would be getting put up.
  • i would head out to sites to meet farmers on there land for them to show me where they wanted the fence boundaries so i could make notes before heading back with the team to complete the work.
  • day to day tasks would be transferring the heavy machinery to site, digging holes, concreting fence posts in running wire and tensioning them,

  • At sheridan lifts i ran my own contract stockport council which consisted of around 100 lifts a month. while running this contract i would deal with all minor repairs and all of the scheduled maintenance. It would be down to me to call and arrange my scheduled maintenance.
  • At sheridan lifts i also got my own apprentice who would work closely with me and whom i would train while he was undergoing his apprenticeship.
  • I would work as a part of a 1 in 4 callout team, that would cover lift breakdowns 24/7 all over the north of england. we would also attend events and football games as on call engineers to fix and rescue passengers who would get stuck in the lift while attending the events/ football.
  • minor repairs that i would undertake on a day to day basis would be, replacing COP and LOP push buttons, safety edges, door aircords, small electrical components in the control panel and alignment of doors and locks.
  • Major repairs that i would take part and assist the repair teams with would be reroping lifts, changing out control panels, rerunning trailing cables changing motors/ gearboxes and replacing pulleys.
