  • Spark Shift Lab - Presenter, 2017 - Cross Grade & Design Challenge Collaboration

After being a participant in the Telus Spark Shift Lab, 2 colleagues and I were presenters of Cross Grade & Design Challenge Collaboration at the Shift Lab Conference. This session was about our experience with cross-grade collaboration. We shared our successes, challenges, and failures of integrating various grades within a school, as well as, the same grades across different schools. We had examples of how we aligned curriculum across grades and designed challenges that we tested with our classes. We hope to inspire creativity in your own practice, transform your learners into engineers and encourage empathy in the classroom.

It was a one-year experience with a summer intensive, and workshops throughout the year and support for individual learning projects.
