Summary

My 25+ years of teaching consisted of prekindergarten to grade 4 for Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division. Over the last three years I've created the Community and School Liaison position. This role was created in collaboration with KidsFirst Prince Albert and Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division as a pilot project. It is the first position of its kind in all KidsFirst sites in Saskatchewan as well as any school division. I support vulnerable families and create relationships between home and school. My main goal is to remove barriers that hinder families from accessing education. I support families with funding such as; Jordan's Principle, housing, accessing food, and other barriers that impede learning. This position has proved to have value and necessity within the Prince Albert community

As the Prince Albert Early Years Family Resource Centre Program Designer I create, revise, and implement new programs based on local community need. The programs are focused on families with children prenatal to 5 years.
