  • Taking and preparing Council Meeting minutes and an occasional Finance and Audit meeting minutes.
  • Keep track of Membertou Council Resolutions (MCR), including numbering and recording any new or approved MCR. Type Membertou Council Resolutions, memos, letters and envelopes, as required.
  • Hand-deliver correspondence as required.
  • Update the temporary and new housing lists. File letters in the temporary housing
    requests and new housing requests binders.
  • Fax house repair requests to the Housing Department and then put the request in for the Council meeting.
  • Poll the Chief and Council when requested to do so.
  • Keep a monthly calendar with the dates, times, and locations of different committee meetings. Print the calendar and put in the Council packages, so that any member of Chief and Council can attend the different committee meetings, if they choose to do so
  • Help any technical issue the Chief and Council has with their iPad or phones.
  • Book zoom meetings and host them for Chief and Council; schedule, and invite guests, and addresses, as needed.
  • Collect bids for tenders at the front office, when required to do so.
