• Manage and overseeing all PSW client care in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood for approximately 50 direct staff
• Consistently evaluate the quality of care given and professional progress and confidence levels of PSW's
• Provide staff with ongoing education to comply with SE Health's vision and strategies
• Facilitate team development within our specific team as well as our Service Delivery Centre (SDC)
• Interview, hire, attend disciplinary meetings as needed with new/current staff
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies related to PSW services (WSIB, OHSW)
• Instruct all CPR courses for the NSM SDC
• Collaborate with all other disciplines within the Community Care field (nursing, OT/PT, OHaH, Physicians, Hospice etc.) with positivity and shared interest/common goals

• Palliative care specialist on Wasaga Beach team
• Initiate and follow through independently with all visiting nurse duties such as IV initiation and maintenance, PICC care, Wound care, Compression therapy, Palliative care, CHF, COPD diagnosis to all ages in the community
• Communicate daily with physicians and specialists involved in the client’s care
• Work closely with OHaH case managers/staff to enhance the care of each client

Carry out all general nursing duties related to surgical patients and their recovery process as well as their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being

• Managed and initiated all WSIB claims in the workplace
• Dealt with Environmental Health and Safety issues on a daily basis
• Ensured all 900 employees were following the proper procedures in relation to illness/injury and physician’s notes required
• Dealt with emergency/medical situations when they arose

• Initiated and followed through independently with all visiting nurse duties such as IV initiation and maintenance, PICC care, Wound care, Compression therapy, Palliative care, CHF, COPD diagnosis to all ages in the community
• Held a role as one of the Wounds Resource Nurses for the Nova Scotia H.E.A.L. protocol and had extensive training on wound care while in that program
