I am a studious and passionate professional with knowledge and experience of teaching Social Studies, English Language Arts, Art Education, Health and Home Economics consisting of students who all have varying needs including high anxiety, ADHD, depression, English as an additional language, etc.
Over the course of my roles as as an instructor, I've refined my skills in delivering engaging lessons, integrating technology, and adapting to diverse learning styles. Infusing First Nations, Metis, and Inuit cultural content across subjects has become a passion, and I am committed to expanding its presence in all areas of my teaching.
My approach to assessment emphasizes a holistic perspective, encouraging students to learn from mistakes and strive for improvement. Embracing a growth mindset, I welcome professional criticism, recognizing its significant contribution to boosting my confidence as a future educator and refining my teaching practice. Throughout my past teaching experiences, I have established secure and welcoming classroom settings which holds great significance for me. Moving forward, I continue to aim to create environments where students are motivated to engage actively and where lifelong learning is embraced.
I have been successful in integrating technology into my lessons, however, my future goal is to incorporate even more technological learning opportunities into my lessons in addition to a wider range of differentiated instructional strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students. While I have also been effective in incorporating First Nations, Metis, and Inuit (FNMI) content across subject areas throughout my teaching experiences, I recognize the ongoing journey of learning and growth in this aspect, and I am eager to continue to learn and grow. My past teaching experiences have significantly impacted my path, and I am enthusiastic about my continued growth and development as an educator, as well as my future teaching endeavors.
