Niagara Region- Linhaven (LTC): 12-week placement as an OTA & PTA student:

• Ambulating residents, assisting with transfers, administering physiotherapy treatments prescribed by the physiotherapist, completing 1:1 exercise session with residents & assisting with wheelchair fittings/repairs.

Niagara Health- Niagara Falls Hospital: 5-week consolidation placement as an OTA & PTA student: 

• Worked primarily on the acute care floor, with additional experience on the stroke unit, post-surgical unit, and ICU. Assisted patients with ambulation, transfers and bed mobility. Delivered occupational therapy interventions such as fine and gross motor activities, ADL retraining (e.g., toileting, bathing, dressing), and wheelchair fittings.
