Animal awerness club

I have been the president of the animal awareness club at my old school. In that area we could often find stray cats that were thrown out during covid pandemic when individuals couldn't support their pets anymore, my friends and I decided that we should help them no matter what and with permission from out school we used one classroom and made it an animal shelter. we would sell cupcakes and cookies to keep the place running till all the animals had a place to live. we've helped over 20 animals over the span of 2 years and 2 of the cats still remained on campus at my old school. Not only was it a shelter it was more of a safe place for animals like squirrels and birds because there werent many food sources in a big city and we set up multiple places where they could eat drink and seek shelter.
