• Conducted the duties required of a pharmacist while under indirect supervision from the pharmacy manager. These duties included, but were not limited to: Checking prescriptions for indication and safety, responding to therapeutic questions from patients, counseling patients on medications and medical devices, providing recommendations for more optimal care to Doctors located in the clinic, and administering vaccinations.
• Conducted all CACPs, SMMAs and subsequent follow-ups whilst maintaining the other duties of a pharmacist.
• Amongst other tools to increase pharmacy productivity, formulated a document to more efficiently conduct opioid assessments according to the PQRST assessment tool.
• Was responsible for maintaining pharmacy inventory and suggesting alternatives for therapy in the care of a drug shortage to ensure patients were receiving the treatment they required.
• Trained new staff on how to utilize the pharmacy software and provided guidance in order to integrate them into the pharmacy workflow.
