  • High-Risk Delivery RN: Attend deliveries requiring NICU presence; provide immediate neonatal stabilization, respiratory support, and safe transport to the NICU in accordance with NRP when indicated.
  • Transition trained RN: Attend routine newborn deliveries, complete initial assessments, provide thermoregulation and glucose screening, and facilitate breastfeeding before transferring infants to the maternal–infant unit.
  • Maternal Infant Unit trained RN: Provide/support parents ability to perform newborn care, complete assessments, provide parent education, and early identification of infants requiring escalation.
