Porter Athletic Council Member (1 year):
As a member of the Porter Athletic Council, I have had the opportunity to score many afterschool games for a variety of sports. This role requires good organizational skills and the ability to stay focused during fast-paced games. Additionally, I have taken on a leadership role in organizing in-school tournaments during lunch periods. This requires me to use organizational and leadership skills to ensure that everyone involved knows their responsibilities and that the tournaments run smoothly.
TDSB Prefects Member (1 year):
As a member of Prefects, I have volunteered at many important school events such as Parent-Teacher Interviews, Grade 9 Night, and more. Furthermore, I have also volunteered at TDSB meetings that happened at our school such as the Eureka Conference 2024. During my time participating in these events, I had to effectively collaborate with many other prefects to ensure that everything from setup to cleanup was carried out efficiently. Moreover, I honed my communication skills to aid Parents, Teachers, and TDSB staff throughout these events.
Robotics Club Member (3 years):
Throughout my 3 years of experience in the robotics club I have gained knowledge on various topics such as using Arduinos, Breadboards, Raspberry Pi Pico Boards, and more. Furthermore, while working in teams with several different people each year, I was able to effectively lead and work with a team of new people displaying team-building and leadership skills.
Math Club Executive (3 years):
As an executive of the Math club, I have aided in the brainstorming and setup events such as Math Week. Moreover, each week we hold meetings where students can come for extra help with school work, or to be taught some challenging concepts beyond the curriculum to keep them on their feet.
