- As the Administrative Assistant and Emergency Management Coordinator, I reported to the Director of Facilities for the largest hospital in Kern County. I routinely leveraged my skills as a maintenance planner and coordinator, where I would identify maintenance issues that could pose a risk to the business. I would then catalog and prioritize projects, rank them according to severity, and then mobilize internal and external resources for needed repairs and maintenance. I also managed labor and materials resources and executed purchase orders for the entire department. In order to sustain preventative maintenance, I would proactively schedule and plan service visits, weeks ahead of time, to minimize disruption to critical hospital operations. In addition to utilization of strong management and planning skills, I acted as the XMatters administrator and the Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) project administrator. These roles required accurate and timely mass communication from administration to hospital staff, and scheduling of critical resources to minimize operational interruptions and down time.
