Driven and creative, I have a proven track record of success in volunteer roles, notably with the Wasoqopa'q First Nation, where my energetic approach and teamwork skills shone. My experience includes engaging community participation and raising funds, showcasing my reliable nature and athletic prowess without relying on daily tasks for impact.
Recently a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia's Respectful Citizenship Award for my commitment to my culture and community.
I have also recently received the following awards;
Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey "Mi'kmaw Language Award", MVP for my Highschool Rugby Team.
I was selected for the Minister of Education's Student Advisory Council along with approximately 15 other select youth from across the province. This is a 2-year term, meaning I will take part until I graduate.
I was also selected for the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education's Student Advisory Council. This is also a 2-year term, with the members coming from our more local area of the Tri Counties.

I have played minor hockey since I was 9 years old, and most recently played on my High School Hockey Team. I would say Hockey is my main sport, but I also enjoy playing on the High School Rugby and Wrestling teams.
I have also played on soccer, baseball and basketball teams. I've trained with Mixed Martial Arts since I was 3 years old.
I enjoy fishing, gaming, and watching movies on my down time.
I was fortunate to have participated in NAIG on the 16U Basketball Team, and I also participate in the Mi'kmaw Summer Games every year.
I enjoy being active and having fun while teaching others how to play sports and games, along with other fun activities. I am patient and respectful. I have a great track record in working with younger youth and I live a smoke free, sober lifestyle. I believe I am well suited for this position and if selected I will be a positive asset in this role.
