Accomplishments

Achieved the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for, reestablishing the network in a new location upon power grid failure, enabling the commanding general and staff to command and control with minimal interruption. corporal Sanchez Hinojosa was able to create an impromptu network from spare equipment, creating a new technique for communicators in desert environments. When the forward node experienced further equipment failure, Corporal Sanchez Hinojosa built an entirely separate network in under two hours, creating a failover capability that had never before been established. His significant efforts during this exercise created new best practices for the provisioning of power and served to pave the way for future exercises. Corporal Sanchez Hinojosa exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance, and dedication to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States naval service.
