• I was in the kitchen with over 15 other co-workers in the kitchen, serving aprox 100+ dishes a day, while being in a very stressful environment. i learned a few important things that will stick with me where ever i go in the workplace with this job experience. I worked at Joeys for about 3 months, as i took it for a summer job and for some extra experience, as i have worked in the kitchen before.
• I worked very well with my co-workers, you need this in the kitchen as Joeys is a very popular spot and will get busy. When we had a delay on an order or late on serving the dish, i tried to find a solution to where we could fix this time problem when it got busy i had made sure of that everyone had a designated area where that work was responsible for. If we needed ice to be swamped or line sweep, either me or someone would quickly take that job so we can be more efficient with our workspace. I had a great time getting to make my *commutation skills* much better in the workplace as Joeys provided a great team for me. Time management was approved at joeys as i could not be going on breaks whenever you want, the team would need a 5 minute heads up so everyone is prepared if a rush were to occur, communication with the team was a great thing to have because us always being aware with each other let us to great success. For only being at Joey's for around 4 months, i still got to train a few co-workers which i enjoyed a lot as i got to show my team my skills, what im capable of and that im always there for support. Yes it had been problems while being able to train other staff members but that is a part of the job so we all took note of our mistakes, and tried to improve so we could all strive to be great.
